Team USA has one exhibition game remaining before the real fun begins.

Following matchups with Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Spain and Greece, the United States will close its showcase schedule ahead of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup against Germany.

Germany features a number of familiar faces to NBA fans. Raptors guard Dennis Schroder leads a talented roster that includes Magic rising star Franz Wagner, Pacers big man Daniel Theis and former NBA player Isaac Bonga. Germany is a threat to medal at the World Cup, ranking fifth in the world in FIBA's most recent power rankings.

The USA and Germany are in different groups in the World Cup, but it's possible the countries will meet in the final phase of the tournament.

Team USA's final exhibition game ahead of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be played against Germany on Sunday, Aug. 20. The game will take place in Abu Dhabi and is scheduled to begin around 12:00 p.m. ET.

The game will be broadcast on FOX in the United States.

When is the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup?

  • Where: Philippines, Japan and Indonesia

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will tip off on Friday, Aug. 25. The Group Stages will run through Sept. 3 with the single-elimination knockout stage beginning on Sept. 5.

The tournament will conclude with the gold medal match on Sunday, Sept. 10.

The United States is in Group C with Jordan, Greece and New Zealand at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. All of Team USA's first-round group stage games will be played in the Philippines.
