As Team USA continues to mow its way through competition at the Rio Olympics, 2K Sports has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming NBA 2K17. The trailer showcases the 2016 Men's National Team as well as the 1992 Dream Team. The Olympic teams return after first appearing in NBA 2K13 and the publisher recently attempted to recreate their respective team photos in screenshots.

This year's National Team is featured in NBA 2K17 while the Dream Team is included as part of the pre-order bonus. It still remains unclear whether the teams will be utilized in any way other than "Play Now" games, but, given that no additional news has been provided and with the release date nearing, unfortunately it's starting to look like that'll be all there is for them.

NBA 2K17 will be the second-earliest an NBA licensed game has ever released (Sept. 16). Paul George is on the  cover of the standard edition and Kobe Bryant is celebrated with the Legend Edition. The game will have a new feature allowing for league expansion in the Franchise modes. Amazon Prime members can pre-order any version of 2K17 for 20 percent off.
