Team USA embarks on its quest to qualify for the FIBA AmeriCup by hosting Cuba on Thursday to kick off the 2025 Qualifiers.

The Americans are the most successful nation at the FIBA AmeriCup, touting seven gold medals. Yet, they will look to revenge a third-place finish at the 2022 tournament, as Argentina and Brazil squared off in the Gold Medal game.

The 12-man unit for Team USA touts some familiar names, with former NBA players like Michael Carter-Williams, Elfrid Payton, Stanley Johnson and Jordan Bell headlining the roster. They are led by longtime Boston Celtics assistant Jerome Allen.

Cuba, meanwhile, is hoping to qualify for the FIBA AmeriCup for the first time since 2015, when it advanced thanks to a fourth-place finish at the 2014 Centrobasket.

The Americans open their campaign at the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers with a matchup against Cuba on Thursday, February 22. The game is slated to begin at 7:10 ET and will be played at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida.

Fans can stream all of Team USA’s contests throughout qualifying on Courtside1891, which is available through DAZN. Courtside1891 is the official streaming service for FIBA.

When are the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers?

The FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers are set to occur in three separate windows. The initial window begins on Thursday, Feb. 22 and continues through Monday, Feb. 26.

The ensuing two scheduling windows are slated for late November and next February.

Sixteen teams are spread out evenly among four groups, with the three highest-placed teams from each group qualifying for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025.

The Americans begin their quest to qualify for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 with a home-and-home series with Cuba.
