Rockets point guard Ty Lawson will be suspended two games for DWI offenses that occurred earlier this year in Colorado, the league announced Friday.
The NBA waited until the conclusion of legal cases to discipline Lawson, who was playing for the Nuggets at the time of his first arrest, according to Yahoo Sports, which first reported the suspension.

Lawson pleaded guilty last month to driving while impaired stemming from a January arrest in Colorado. He was also arrested in California in July for DUI.
The point guard also reportedly is on the trade block, as he has not been good this season with the Rockets. After averaging 15.5 points and 9.6 assists a game last season with the Nuggets, Lawson is down to 5.9 and 4.2 for the Rockets, while shooting 32.9 percent in 25.2 minutes a game.
