The Trail Blazers came out swinging in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, but it wasn't enough. Portland heads home down 2-0 in the series after a 114-111 loss to the Warriors on Thursday night in Oakland, Calif.
The Blazers dominated the first half and entered the halftime break with a 65-50 lead. Damian Lillard struggled in the half, but CJ McCollum's 16 points had Portland in reat position to steal Game 2.
Golden State didn't go quietly, however. The Warriors outscored the Blazers 39-24 in the third quarter, including a 24-6 run at one point, and the teams headed into the fourth tied 89-89.

The Blazers, hoping to put their recent fourth-quarter struggles behind them, started the final quarter strong and even opened up a 102-94 lead. Golden State stormed back and took a 110-108 lead after Stephen Curry converted three free throws after Lillard fouled him on a 3-point attempt late in the quarter.
On what turned into the game's final possession for Portland, Lillard was stripped by Andre Iguodala with 4.1 seconds remaining. The Warriors were able to run out the clock and extend their series lead.
While Golden State struggled mightily from 3-point range (9 of 29), Portland couldn't seem to miss at times as they hit 18 of their 39 attempts. Curry and Klay Thompson finished with 37 and 24 points, respectively, for the Warriors. Lillard and McCollum had 23 and 22, respectively, for the Blazers.
Portland will try to bounce back when the series resumes Saturday at Moda Center.
