Timberwolves at Pistons Prediction

The Pistons (11-33 SU, 19-22-3 ATS, 26-17-1 O/U) are back at home after getting demolished by the Sixers last night. They now host the Timberwolves (20-21 SU, 18-23 ATS, 19-22 O/U) on the second leg of their back-to-back.

Minnesota comes into tonight's game undefeated since the start of the new year. They've won four-straight games and have covered the spread in each of those. I expect the Wolves to keep that win streak alive, but our model thinks the Pistons will cover tonight. Detroit hasn't played well lately, with many players out with injuries. However, they just beat Minnesota a few weeks ago. The Pistons out-rebounded and out-scored the Wolves in the paint and transition. They are going to need a similar performance tonight if they want to cover this spread. That said, Detroit is 6-3 against the spread when playing with a rest disadvantage and is 11-8-1 in non-conference games.

PICK: Pistons +7

Pacers at Knicks Prediction

The Pacers (23-18 SU, 25-15-1 ATS, 19-21-1 O/U) hit the road for a quick, one-game road trip tonight against the Knicks (22-19 SU, 20-18-3 ATS, 2020-1 O/U).

Our BetQL model is telling us to take over 227.5 in this matchup. The Pacers love to play fast, ranking first in the league in fast-break points. While the under has hit in Indiana's past two games, the Pacers' ability to get out in transition has led to six of their past seven games going over this number. They're also averaging 120.6 points per game over their past five outings, which is great for an over. On New York's side, they've been getting a ton of points off second-chance opportunities, ranking first in that category over their past five games. With that being an area the Pacers have struggled to defend, the Knicks should also be able to put quite a few points on the board.

PICK: Pacers-Knicks OVER 227.5

Spurs at Grizzlies Prediction

The Spurs (13-28 SU, 20-21 ATS, 23-17-1 O/U) and Grizzlies (27-13 SU, 21-17-2 ATS, 18-21-1 O/U) meet for the second-straight time tonight at FedEx Forum.

The Grizzlies and Spurs played two nights ago, and Memphis won that game by eight but failed to cover as an 11-point favorite. The Grizzlies are 13.5-point favorites tonight, and while I think they cover that number, I like Memphis in the first half at -8 better. They’ve been dominant in the first half over their past four games, outscoring their opponents by 76 points and winning each half by an average of 19. Our BetQL model likes that trend to continue tonight.

PICK: Grizzlies 1H -8
