San Antonio mayor Ivy Taylor has declared July 21 as Tim Duncan Day in honor of the future NBA Hall of Famer who spent 19 seasons with the Spurs.
It only seems fitting the celebration of the Spurs legend will be quite humble as City Hall plans to hang a banner honoring Duncan. Taylor is also encouraging everyone to wear his No. 21 jersey.

“Tim may not be comfortable with all the attention, but I do think he deserves it,” Taylor said (via KSAT-TV). “Besides being one of the greatest players of all time, he’s also an outstanding role model. He taught us how to work hard, win and remain humble."
If you’re not in San Antonio but still want to honor the Big Fundamental, here are three ways Duncan would approve of you spending the day.
1. Curled up with a good book, possibly one he co-authored.

2. Working on your glass game.
3. But if you want to get wild and crazy Big Timmy-style, mess with your friends by taking their glasses or get destructive and knock over a house plant.
