After a solid home victory over the Clippers on Thursday, the Warriors host the Thunder on Saturday night. The Warriors have yet to defeat the newly-constructed Thunder this season.
In its first game since the All-Star break, Oklahoma City (34-26) defeated the Kings, 110-107, thanks to Russell Westbrook's buzzer-beating game winner. In Sacramento, Paul George contributed 26 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, Carmelo Anthony added 23 points and Westbrook recorded his 18th triple-double of the season with 17 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. No points were bigger than Westbrook's 3-pointer as time expired to give OKC the win.
In their two wins over Golden State (45-14) this season, the Thunder have handily defeated the Warriors by an average margin of 18.5 points. After Anthony left with a sprained ankle six minutes into the Thunder's most recent game in Oakland on Feb. 6, George (38 points, six steals) and Westbrook (34 points, nine assists, nine rebounds) led OKC to victory. In the matchups with Golden State this season, George has posted averages of 29 points and eight rebounds, while Westbrook is averaging 34 points, 9.5 rebounds and nine assists.
