All it takes is one little slip of the finger on social media, and suddenly an athlete can be in big trouble. Steven Adams found that out the hard way.

The Thunder center liked an Instagram comment from a user who clearly does not think highly of Carmelo Anthony. In response to a question about which Oklahoma City star is the most valuable to the team, Adams showed his support for "all of them except Melo."

Here's how it looked (via Bleacher Report):

Adams contacted the Thunder on Monday to explain that the like was an accident, according to The Oklahoman's Erik Horne. OKC players are no strangers to this type of situation, as the same thing happened to former Thunder star Kevin Durant when he liked a comment about Russell Westbrook being "the problem."

This comes off as a rather convenient excuse, but the like button for Instagram comments makes it easy to express support as you scroll down the page. Adams is also one of the most loyal teammates in the NBA, so if he did have an issue with Anthony, he likely would speak with him directly.

An unfortunate slip-up, but hey, NBA players have huge fingers. It's a surprise it doesn't happen more often.
