If there were any questions about whether the Spurs were already locked into playoff mode, they were answered Tuesday.
The Spurs made the Clippers look like a First Four team against a top seed in the NCAA Tournament with their 108-87 win at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
MORE:
They got solid performances from their primary offensive weapons, LaMarcus Aldridge (17 points) and Kawhi Leonard (20 points). Danny Green was hot from the outside, shooting 4 for 5 from the 3-point line. They also got a big boost from their bench, in particular Manu Ginobili (13 points in 16 minutes) and Patty Mills (15 points). Mills and Ginobili outscored the entire Clippers bench by themselves, 28-20.
The Clippers shot better than the Spurs would have liked — hitting 46.4 percent from the field — but the Spurs were even better at 53.7 percent.
That's the type of effort it's going to take for the Spurs to have a chance to beat the Warriors in the playoffs. We'll see if they can keep it up.
Stud of the night
The Nets had an offensive explosion against the 76ers, and Bojan Bogdanovic was a big reason why. Bogdanovic scored 44 points to go with eight rebounds as his team won, 131-114.
Dud of the night
The Celtics' three-guard lineup didn’t have a great shooting night Tuesday, and Boston fell 103-98 to the Pacers. Marcus Smart, Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley combined to shoot just 14 for 43 from the field.
Tweet of the night
The Pacers did what they had to do to get the big win. Shoes were optional.
By any means necessary 😂 https://t.co/SEbZtmQCVk

Looking ahead
Mavericks (34-33) at Cavaliers (47-19), 7 p.m. ET: The Cavaliers are looking to stay on top in the East, with the Raptors just two games back. The Mavericks are looking to build on their win over the Hornets and keep the Jazz behind them.
