The Heat, Cavaliers and Clippers took care of business Wednesday night.
All three teams went up 2-0 in their first-round playoff series, meaning they are halfway to the second round and, potentially, sweeps.

The Heat reeled off another 40-plus-point quarter in the first half en route to a 115-103 win over the Hornets. Miami had five players score 15 points or more, led by Dwyane Wade's 28 and aided by Hassan Whiteside's 17 points and 13 rebounds.
The Cavs used the 3-point line to come away with a relatively easy 107-90 win over the Pistons. They hit 20 of 38 attempts, including J.R. Smith's 7-for-11 performance from long distance. LeBron James broke away from Stanley Johnson's defense to score 27 points.

The Clippers continued to school the young Trail Blazers, beating them 102-81. The seasoned backcourt of Chris Paul (23 points) and J.J. Redick (17 points) took it to Damian Lillard (17 points) and C.J. McCollum (16 points).
Those three wins mean that six of the eight first-round series are now 2-0, with only the Thunder-Mavericks and Raptors-Pacers series tied after two games.
Stud of the Night
Wade showed flashes of “Flash” in his 28-point performance against the Hornets.
Dud of the Night
Marvin Williams’ struggles continued. The Hornets forward followed up his 1-for-7 shooting performance Sunday with an 0-for-10 night against the Heat. Charlotte has now lost 14 consecutive playoff games.

In the immortal words of James Evans Jr., this pass from LeBron James to Kevin Love was DY-NO-MITE!

Looking ahead
Thunder at Mavericks, 7 p.m. ET, TNT (Series tied 1-1): There’s a better chance of Charlie Villanueva and Russell Westbrook getting together for a dance number than Kevin Durant missing 26 shots again.
Warriors at Rockets, 9:30 p.m. ET, TNT (Golden State leads 2-0): We don’t know whether Steph Curry will play, but we do know the Warriors don’t need him to beat the Rockets.
