Apparently things have stayed awkward between LeBron James and Heat president Pat Riley after James left Miami for Cleveland this summer.
Before Thursday's 101-91 loss to the Heat, the Cavaliers star admitted he hasn't spoken to Riley since his departure. James is open to communication but expressed some reservations in starting any potential conversation.
“If the opportunity presents itself I don’t mind,” James said, according to the Miami Herald. “But I don’t know what his mind-set is.”

Shortly before James announced his decision to return to the Cavaliers, Riley flew out to talk him into staying in Miami. Hours before James' essay on SI.com was released, he informed Riley and the Heat of his decision.
It hasn't affected his relationship with past teammates, though. James and Heat guard Dwyane Wade hugged before tip of Thursday's game, and a tribute video of James was shown after the first quarter.
