The wait is over — the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is here.
Team USA played a busy tune-up schedule, traveling from Las Vegas to Spain to Abu Dhabi to prepare for the upcoming tournament. The United States went a perfect 5-0 during its pre-tournament schedule, defeating Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Spain, Greece and Germany.
Now, Team USA will look to emerge as the top team from Group C at the FIBA Basketball World Cup. It will kick off the tournament with a matchup against New Zealand, followed by games against Greece (Aug. 28) and Jordan (Aug. 30).

Team USA will kick off the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup against New Zealand on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 8:40 a.m. ET in the Philippines. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 in the United States.
