Steve Clifford and the Charlotte Hornets reached an agreement Wednesday on a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday.
The deal includes a guaranteed three seasons with a team option for a fourth, according to the Charlotte Observer, which broke the news.

The Hornets are off to an 8-6 start through Tuesday. Clifford, 54, came into the season with a career record of 76-88 in two seasons with Charlotte. Clifford served as an assistant with the Knicks, Rockets, Lakers and Magic from 2001-2013.
