On opening night of the 2022-23 NBA season, Stephen Curry picked up right where he left off to close the 2022 NBA Finals.

As the Warriors cruised to a win over the Lakers, the reigning Finals MVP dazzled his way to 33 points to go along with seven assists, six rebounds and four steals. He'll look to keep that momentum going as the Nuggets visit The Bay Area for a playoff rematch on Friday night.

While Golden State only needed five games to eliminate Denver from the opening round of last year's playoffs, Curry was not quite himself. The 34-year-old only started in one game during the series as he worked his way back from a foot injury.

This time around, Curry should have a clean bill of health as the first game of the season went by without any hiccups.

Here's the latest on Curry's status ahead of the Warriors' meeting with the Nuggets.

Is Stephen Curry playing vs. Nuggets tonight?

Curry is not listed on the injury report for Friday's game, indicating that he will be good to go.

After seeing 33 minutes of action on opening night, Curry stands to be well-rested for the second game of the season. (It is worth noting that Curry did cause some commotion as a spectator late Wednesday night.)

If last postseason is any indication, Friday night could be a big one for Curry — he averaged 28.0 points, 5.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals in Golden State's series win over Denver.

The Warriors' title defense has already gotten off to a strong start, and that could continue against a hopeful contender in the Nuggets.
