The Warriors had hoped to get Stephen Curry back Saturday for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series against the Trail Blazers.

Now it's unlikely they'll get the MVP guard back for Game 4.

The Warriors have listed Curry as doubtful for Monday's game at Portland. Golden State holds a 2-1 series lead following Portland's 120-108 victory on Saturday.

Curry hasn’t played since spraining his knee on April 24 in Game 4 of Golden State's first-round series against the Rockets. The NBA's leading scorer also missed two games against the Rockets because of an unrelated ankle injury.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Curry has been getting better every day, but the Warriors aren't going to push him to return. The Warriors had four days off between games 2 and 3 against Portland, leading many to believe the layoff would have given Curry enough time to heal.

Clearly that's not the case and, even with the estimated two-week healing time, Curry is not yet ready to return to the lineup.
