One night after a shocking blowout loss, the Golden State Warriors were back to answering questions about setting a new wins record.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry said Saturday that while the team would like to win 73 games, getting the top seed in the Western Conference is the primary concern.

“We have to lock up the number one seed,” Curry told reporters following his team’s 115-112 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. “That’s what we're mainly focused about because that has a direct impact on our main goal of winning a championship.
“Seventy-three wins doesn’t get you a bye, doesn’t do anything like that."
The Warriors’ 49th win in 55 games came on the heels of an ugly 137-105 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
“Any time you give up 137 points, it’s a bad feeling. Especially when we let their best player (Damian Lillard) go for 50,” Warriors guard Klay Thompson said, via CSNBayArea.com. “We had to do something about tonight and I was just proud of the way we responded from the jump. We were out to prove a point that last night was a fluke.”
Fluke or not, Curry said Saturday’s win showed that the team can bounce back from a tough performance.
“We can’t win 24 at one time,” Curry said. “If we get wrapped up in the moment and how we play every single night and continue to win one game at a time, it may happen. But we’re not walking off the court like, ‘yeah, one more game on that chase.’
