Steph Curry does his best Klay Thompson, finishes Warriors' rally image

There's something about the third quarter and the Warriors this season.

On Wednesday night, Stephen Curry took after fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson as he powered his club past the Mavericks 128-114 in Oakland, Calif. Curry scored 26 of his game-high 51 points in the third quarter, 12 days after Thompson set an NBA record with 37 third-quarter points.

Curry added the exclamation point Wednesday with this 3-pointer with 53 seconds remaining in the fourth (he finished 10-for-16 from beyond the arc).

Curry ended one point shy of the 52 Thompson scored on his night, and four short of Kyrie Irving's NBA season-high 55-point outing.

Curry's flurry helped Golden State erase a 42-25 first-quarter deficit. The Warriors outscored the Mavericks 103-72 over the final three periods.
