The Warriors have been under attack since winning last season's NBA championship, specifically by Clippers coach Doc Rivers.
During an appearance on Zach Lowe's podcast, Rivers said of the Warriors' title win, "You need luck in the West. Look at Golden State. They didn't have to play us or the Spurs."

Klay Thompson responded Friday by saying, "Didn't they lose to the Rockets? Exactly."
On Tuesday, league MVP Stephen Curry and Draymond Green gave their reactions.
"I just want to say, I apologize for us being healthy. I apologize for us playing who's in front of us," Curry said sarcastically per the Bay Area News Group. "I apologize for all the accolades we've received as a team and individually. I'm very, truly sorry. We'll rectify that situation this year."

While Curry was giving sarcastic responses, Green countered in a way only he can.
"It's funny. It's like a bitter female. Like, you ever dealt with a bitter female that's just scorned? God! That's rough," he said. "When you're dealing with a bitter female that's scorned, that's one of the worst things in the world. And God, that's bad."
He continued by saying other teams and coaches in the league didn't take cheap shots at them like Rivers.
"Gregg Popovich didn't say that. That's one organization that I really respect. And you haven't heard anybody in their camp say that," he said. "You ain't heard anybody from OKC say that. Some of the organizations that I really respect."
Green added that the haters are just bitter and salty and if they need a reason to hate on the champs, then they're "obviously not the champs."
"That just lets you know how many people didn't want to see us win," he said. "Because they sick!
"People hate change. People don't accept change well. They're used to [Golden State] just floating around the bottom of the league."
