Coaching in the NBA is tough and Stan Van Gundy knows that. His team had just made a miracle buzzer-beating layup with 0.1 seconds remaining to take the lead over the Spurs on Tuesday, and he didn't want to lose that lead.
The only chance for San Antonio to score was on a tip-in, and all the Pistons had to do was protect the rim.

Van Gundy had pretty simple instructions for his team.
"We just form a f—ing wall here," said Van Gundy.
Hey, when you're right, you're right. That's a solid strategy and after ditching Josh Smith, I'd trust just about anything that Van Gundy says.
The Spurs did not convert and the Pistons won 105-104.
