Shaquille O'Neal has weed jokes for days — and he used a lot of them during Aaron Gordon's appearance on the "NBA on TNT" pregame show on Tuesday.
As the 24-year-old Magic forward spoke about making a return to the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, O'Neal appeared to take notice of Gordon's relaxed demeanor and eyes.
The former NBA star tried to work the word "high" into the interview as many times as possible as he recalled judging the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, won by Zach LaVine, then with Minnesota.

TRADE RUMORS: Which players could Lakers target?
"I hold these guys to a higher perfection," O'Neal said. "You know what I liked about that dunk contest? Him and Zach, they was getting so high. When they was up there dunking, I was like, damn these boys were high. Man these boys were getting high as hell. ... Cloud nine the way they were dunking that thing."
Former Heat star Dwyane Wade and host Adam Lefkoe appeared to poke fun at Gordon, too.
"In the clouds, baby," Wade said.
"Just go smoke the competition, we got you," Lefkoe said.
O'Neal ended the interview with one last zinger for Gordon.

It was hard to tell if Gordon caught on to the weed jokes, but at one point he did say, "I don't know about that, Shaq."
And just in case you were wondering, here is the NBA's policy on marijuana:
"If a player tests positive for marijuana, or if he is convicted of, or pleads guilty to, the use or possession of marijuana, he will be required to submit to treatment, counseling, and aftercare testing in the Program. A second violation will result in a $25,000 fine, a third violation will result in a five-game suspension, and any subsequent violations will result in a suspension that is five games longer than the player’s immediately-preceding marijuana suspension."
