Charles Barkley rarely holds back, even on live TV.

His candidness and outspoken personality help make NBA on TNT so successful. It's only amplified when Shaquille O'Neal is across the desk, egging his coworker on.

Barkley has countless clips of his most viral moments included in social media compilations. Whether it's his beef with women from San Antonio or Barkley telling not-safe-for-work stories, he typically draws attention with his antics.

He did just that following the Thunder's 106-85 win over the Pelicans in Game 3 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Thunder leads 3-0, and Barkley is declaring the series over.

The ongoing trend in professional sports is for a team to take a summer vacation to Cancun, Mexico after losing in the playoffs. Barkley doesn't want a joyous trip for the Pelicans.

Instead, he wants the team to visit Galveston, Texas and its "dirty a— water."

Here's what else the Hall of Famer had to say to New Orleans.

What did Charles Barkley say about the Pelicans?

Barkley isn't pleased with how the Pelicans are performing in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. They're down 3-0 to the No. 1 seed Thunder and have been blown out in both Games 2 and 3.

Not to mention, the Thunder narrowly escaped with a Game 1 victory — a game in which the Pelicans committed a late foul on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The former MVP had enough and wants the Pelicans to take a vacation to Galveston, Texas in the offseason.

"We not even going to send them to Cancun," Barkley said. "We're going to send them to Galveston with that dirty a— water be washing up on the shore. You people think they're at the beach."

This vacation trip is convenient for the Pelicans, too. Barkley said they should drive to Galveston. It would save the team money not having to fly to Mexico.

The trip by car is estimated to be about 5 hours, 34 minutes and 369 miles, according to Google Maps.

Where is Galveston?

Galveston is located in the southeast portion of Texas on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. The town is south of Houston.

Why does Galveston have brown water?

Galveston's water is known to be brown, as Barkley alluded to.

The Mississippi River covers a large portion of the United States and empties out in the Gulf of Mexico. It picks up soil in its journey south as rain washes the sediments into the river, according to VisitGalveston.com. Other rivers play a role in the color change, but the Mississippi River is the largest.

The currents of the Gulf also play a role in the color change.
