When it comes to the endless hoops debate of Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James, you would think Scottie Pippen could offer valuable perspective given his experience winning titles alongside Jordan and playing the same position as James at a high level. Unfortunately, this argument has even puzzled the former Bulls star.

Pippen gave a final answer (maybe?) when he was asked by TMZ about former U.S. President Barack Obama's thoughts on MJ vs. LJ. In an interview with Prince Harry, Obama made it clear where he stands.

"Jordan, though I love LeBron, but I'm a Chicago guy," Obama said.

Pippen responded to TMZ's question by agreeing with Obama, saying, "I'd pick [Jordan] over LeBron, too!" However, this doesn't exactly fall in line with his previous thoughts on this matter. Let's just break this down chronologically...

— In an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" two weeks ago, Pippen caused Molly Qerim and Stephen A. Smith to freak out when he declared James was not all that far from Jordan historically. Pippen also said James had eclipsed Jordan in at least one way.

"In terms of statistics, LeBron is right there. When you look across the board — not just scoring — check his assists. Check his rebounds. He's probably ahead of Jordan."

Pippen then (sort of) clarified he wasn't picking James over Jordan, but rather pointing out a player like Jordan or Kobe Bryant doesn't have the same kind of versatility as James.

"I would never diss Michael Jordan," Pippen said. "I will always pick [Jordan] over LeBron."

— When TMZ approached Pippen the following week about what he said on "First Take," the Hall of Famer threw another wrinkle into the conversation.

"LeBron ain't better than me until he gets six titles," Pippen said.

So, if Pippen is better than James, then Pippen is also better than Jordan? Or just in a statistical sense? Or just on a different planet where all of this is nonsense and nothing matters?

— That brings us back to Pippen saying he agrees with Obama. He's taking Jordan over James. At least until this gets brought up again.

You know what? Everyone take a break. No one ask Pippen about Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James for at least a month. Let the man find some peace and quiet.
