Whether you disagree with Sam Hinkie or kind of agree with him — nobody fully agrees with him — the former 76ers GM is prime joke fodder. "The Process" will never not be a punchline, even though it snuck in a backdoor cover in the form of Ben Simmons and ohhhh nooo, Hinkie is tweeting. Yes, he is tweeting in the most Sam Hinkie way possible.

This is his resignition manifesto in tweet form; it's got endless exposition and a not-insignificant amount of pathos, albeit pathos that may have been generated by some sort of cutting-edge, emotion-replicating script. Hinkie seems like a real person — but is he? There's no real way to know.

His first session was a 10-tweet series that shared his plans to teach at Stanford, spend time with his kids and snowboard, with some other stuff mixed in. He's just a chill dude, enjoying his "gap year," as anyone would.

Were there jokes? Of course there were jokes.

Regardless, it's nice to have him back — until he starts several more accounts, solely to send the same tweets with minor variations. One of them is guaranteed to pan out.
