At this point, its starting to be more newsworthy when Russell Westbrook doesn't record a triple-double than when he does.
Westbrook picked up his fifth in a row on Sunday as the Oklahoma City Thunder won their fifth game in a row, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 101-92.
His 28 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists made him the first player since Michael Jordan during the 1988-89 season to put together five straight triple doubles. He's currently fourth on the consecutive list, two behind Jordan and Oscar Robertson and four behind Wilt Chamberlain's record of nine.
Anytime you are on a list with MJ, The Big O and Wilt, you are doing something right. It doesn't hurt that his streak has coincided with his team's winning streak.

The question remains how long he, and the team, can keep it up. For now, though, just enjoy the ride.
Stud of The Night
Anthony Davis, the NBA's leading scorer, didn't get a triple-double like Russell Westbrook, but he did have another impressive stat line. Davis finished with 37 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in a losing effort, despite leaving the game briefly with a shoulder injury.
Dud of The Night
The New York Knicks beat the Sacramento Kings 106-98, but they didn't get much help from Joakim Noah. Noah produced just two points and five rebounds in 25 minutes for the Knicks, compared to four points, nine rebounds and four blocks for backup Kyle O'Quinn. Might it be time for a change?
Tweet of The Night
Serge Ibaka stuffed the stat sheet, putting up 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks, including this one.

Looking Ahead
Cleveland Cavaliers (13-5) at Toronto Raptors (14-6) 7:30 P.M.: The latest installment between the Eastern Conference's top team and its top contender should be an interesting one. The Raptors come in red hot, having won six games in a row. The Cavs, on the other hand, have lost their last three games in a row.
