Russell Westbrook has completely taken the NBA world by storm this season, and Monday night's 102-99 win over the Hawks proved no different.
The Thunder star recorded his sixth straight triple-double by scoring 32 points with 13 rebounds and 12 assists. More impressively, he reached the feat in the third quarter. Westbrook is now just the fourth player in NBA history to record six straight triple-doubles, joining Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson.

With his latest, Westbrook now has 11 triple-doubles on the season, matching the rest of the NBA. The enigmatic point guard's torrid stretch doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon, either.

Westbrook battled through criticism when Kevin Durant played at his side. Many wondered if his quick tempo and penchant for taking forced shots actually hurt Durant's chances at a title. But he clearly has possesses superstar talent.
Unfortunately for Westbrook, he no longer has the proper supporting cast to make a deep postseason run. He may, however, make history with his individual records if he maintains his unrivaled form.
The Thunder (14-8) are holding their own in the Western Conference, and guys like Victor Oladipo and Steven Adams have stepped up at different times. Yet, Westbrook still seems like a one-man band, and that's rarely enough at the end of the season.
