Lost in the drama of a fan throwing popcorn at Russell Westbrook was that the Wizards star did not return to the court after leaving in the fourth quarter.
Westbrook collided with 76ers shooting guard Furkan Korkmaz in the frame and was limping off the court with his ankle injury when he was hit with the fan's popcorn.
After the game, he put his future in the series against the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed in doubt, though did not state anything for certain.
“I hurt it twice in a short amount of time," Westbrook said, according to a report from the Washington Post. "We’ll see what happens.”

In the Post's report, coach Scott Brooks said that he had been beat up a few times early in the game.
“But I’ve seen him bounce back from some very not-so-good moments where you think he might be out for a couple of weeks. He’s tough. He’s not happy that he wasn’t able to finish the game, but he’s a winning basketball player," Brooks said.
Westbrook had not been having the type of game Wizards fans have come to expect from him, as he only scored 10 points on 2-of-10 shooting with six rebounds and 11 assists. He also had a less-than-stellar outing in his first game, scoring just 16 points on 7-of-17 shooting with five rebounds, though he did help with 14 assists.

The ankle injury is the latest to take Westbrook off the court so far this year. During the regular season, he missed time with a quad injury.
