Mavs coach Rick Carlisle was not pleased Tuesday night after his team's 103-99 loss to the Raptors.
Dallas outscored Toronto in the second, third and fourth quarters, but a large first-quarter deficit was too much to overcome. After the game, Carlisle talked about the deficit and says if that kind of play continues, then roster changes will be made.

"Do I look happy? Would you be happy?" he asked reporters. "Look, it was a 24-minute, take you to the beach, kick your butt, kick sand in your face type deal. And then we come in at halftime, we're finally pissed, I get on their case and we decided to bust our ass in the third quarter, and we played a hell of a third quarter.
"But look, if it's going to be like that, these guys aren't going to be Mavericks very long. I can promise you that."

Carlisle can make that threat after the Mavericks gave him a five-year extension through 2022 last month. He's not going anywhere.
It's not clear just how serious Carlisle is about this threat. Maybe it's just a tactic to get his guys to play better, or maybe he's dead serious and we could see some changes coming in the near future.
Vibe I got is that Mavs aren't worried about being traded, but they all know that the inconsistency with effort and energy has to end.
