Reggie Jackson injury update: Pistons guard (back) to miss at least 4 weeks image

The strength of Detroit's backcourt rotation has taken a hit.

Starting point guard Reggie Jackson is expected to miss at least four weeks after suffering a stress reaction in his back, according to The Athletic. The injury is a precursor to a stress fracture, according to active.com.

The 29-year-old hasn't played since Oct. 24 and is averaging 5.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game in his two appearances this season.

The Pistons' health struggles don't end with Jackson, though, as point guards Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Tim Frazier (shoulder) are both listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup against Brooklyn.

Blake Griffin also hasn't played at all this year because of lingering knee pain.

If Detroit wants to follow up last year's eighth-place finish in the Eastern Conference with another playoff appearance, it'll need to have its core group consistently available.

The Pistons (2-4) will host the Nets (2-3) at 7 p.m. ET.
