The Toronto Raptors got their preseason off to a winning start, cruising to a 112-99 win over the Sacramento Kings in head coach Darko Rajakovic's first game at the helm. 

Continuing their undefeated record (6-0) in Vancouver, Gary Trent Jr. led the charge with 22 points off the bench on 7-of-12 shooting, while Scottie Barnes added 15 points and OG Anunoby 14.

The Kings' starting group maxed out at 15 minutes on court, with Harrison Barnes and Keegan Murray scoring 11 points apiece, while new recruit Sasha Vezenkov — the 2023 EuroLeague MVP — impressed in his debut with a team-high 12 points in 11 minutes off the bench.

10:20 p.m. — Vezenkov has been a bright spark for the Kings in his first NBA minutes, finishing with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting and 2-of-4 from the 3-point line. His floor-spacing ability will be a valuable addition to the Kings this season. 

10:12 p.m. — Marquis Nowell checks in for the Raptors for his first NBA minutes.

9:55 p.m. — No. 13 overall pick Gradey Dick is in the game for the Raptors and after setting up Gary Trent Jr. for a 3, he gets his first bucket with a mid-range jumper.

The Raptors take a 14-point lead into the half, led by 15 points from Gary Trent Jr and 12 points from OG Anunoby.

Keegan Murray and Harrison Barnes lead the Kings with 11 points apiece.
