The Boston Celtics, the current reigning champions of the NBA, were just called out by Ergin Ataman who is the coach of Panathinaikos, the current reigning champs of the Euroleague. Ataman told them if they wanted to claim the title of World Champion, they would have to come to Athens and beat them.

The Celtics were an NBA best 64-18 this year, only losing three games in the playoffs before winning it all. The Celtics also boasted the best offense in NBA history this season with a 123.4 offensive rating. The Celtics beat the Dallas Mavericks in a Gentleman’s Sweep, 4-1.

Panathinaikos, who were second in the Euroleague this year with a record of 23-11, won the Euroleague against Real Madrid, and feature former NBA players such as Kendrick Nunn and Jerian Grant.
