Rajon Rondo will be suspended one game for "conduct detrimental to team," the Bulls announced. He will serve that suspension Monday night against the Trail Blazers.
The Vertical reported the suspension stems from a "heated exchange" with a Bulls assistant following the team's embarassing loss to the Mavs on Saturday. Rondo scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting, and had five turnovers with only two assists in that game. Rondo apologized to the coach and accepted responsibility in the aftermath, The Vertical reported.
MORE: Biggest surprises and disappointments this NBA season
Rondo is on his fourth team in as many years, and has had many public feuds with his coaches that lead to disgraced exits. The fact that it only took 19 games for him (he's played in 17) to be punished is not a promising sign.
Not only has Rondo now established an off-the-court problem, but the guard has been fairly disapointing for Chicago this season. He's averaging 8.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.7 rebounds this season.

Adding to the misery for the Bulls is the fact they're already without backup guard Michael Carter-Williams (wrist) and forward Doug McDermott (concussion).
