Kings point guard Rajon Rondo may have issued a pair of public statements following his one-game suspension for showering referee Bill Kennedy with homophobic slurs Dec. 3 in Mexico City, but according to USA Today, Rondo has yet to reach out to Kennedy personally.
Rondo said in a team statement earlier in the week that he is “truly sorry for what I said to Bill" after an initial attempt at an explanation via Twitter was widely criticized.

He also hasn’t spoken with the media since his suspension to answer questions about the incident. After missing three media sessions since the story broke, Rondo is expected to address reporters Friday night after the Kings’ game against the Timberwolves.

Kings president of basketball operations Vlade Divac reportedly has spoken with Kennedy, who revealed he is homosexual three days after the NBA announced its discipline of Rondo.
