Production has begun on a documentary that will chronicle the notorious legal troubles from the early-2000s Portland Trail Blazers teams, otherwise dubbed the "Jail Blazers."

During a Wednesday radio appearance on 1080 AM in Portland, former Blazer Damon Stoudamire confirmed a film crew is working on the feature. He did not divulge the network that is commissioning the project, but Awful Announcing reported it's being produced to air on HBO.

"We got a lot of people on board," Stoudamire told the station, via The Oregonian. "It's going to be interesting. It's going to be so interesting it might be two parts."

Stoudamire, who started at point guard in Portland from 1998-2005, was one of many Blazers who ran afoul of the law at the time, including a 2002 citation for misdemeanor marijuana possession while driving from Seattle to Portland with teammate Rasheed Wallace. Stoudamire also was arrested a year later for marijuana possession in a Tucson, Ariz., airport.

Other players faced charges of underage drinking, sexual assault and animal abuse.

"You want to hear from the guys that were actually the guys that were getting into things," Stoudamire said. "You'll hear from those guys."
