Jaden Ivey was forced to exit the Pistons' Summer League matchup against the Wizards on Saturday after suffering an ankle injury.
Ivey was attempting a 3-pointer just over five minutes into the game when he landed on Isaiah Todd's foot. Todd was called for a Flagrant 1 foul and Ivey made all three of his free throw attempts before leaving the game.

Ivey, who was selected fifth overall by Detroit in the 2022 NBA Draft, was off to a hot start in the game. He made both his field goal attempts, including a 3-pointer, and drained all six of his free throws, giving him 11 points. He also had two assists.

In his first Summer League action, Ivey scored 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting — 2-for-5 shooting from 3 — with six rebounds and six assists on Friday vs. the Trail Blazers.

Ivey entered the NBA Draft with lofty expectations after a standout sophomore season at Purdue. In 36 games, he averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 46 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from 3-point range for the Boilermakers.
