The Suns haven't played in an NBA game since early April, yet Phoenix is still taking L's nearly two months later.
On Sunday's episode of "Last Week Tonight," host John Oliver managed to sneak in a few jokes at the franchise's expense as part of a larger story on guardianship in the United States. Oliver used a specific example about a woman named Marie Long to illustrate the problems with allowing guardians to control the finances of their wards. As Oliver explains, Long's guardians took her on a "weirdly expensive outing," setting up an easy punchline.

"Go to a game and see if it improves your mood to see Dragan Bender put up four points and one-and-a-half rebounds. Spoiler alert! It won't."
Ouch. No wonder Oliver gave himself the nickname "Johnny Joy-Killer" earlier in the show.
And let's not forget Bender averaged 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this past season. That will show you, Oliver! (Wait, the fact that those are Bender's actual stats might be worse. Yeah, it looks worse now.)
