Kurt Rambis’ future in the Big Apple seems to be a bit more certain as ESPN.com reported Phil Jackson plans to review his beloved triangle offense with the Knicks roster as well as Rambis.

The Knicks were just 9-19 under Rambis to close the season, but Jackson has said Rambis is a strong candidate to have his interim label removed and be hired as the team’s head coach. And if Rambis continues to buy in to Jackson’s way of doing things with the triangle offense, which he helped run on the Lakers' coaching staff, he’s that much more likely to stick around.

"When Kurt started coaching the team, they started executing it with more structure,” Jackson said of the triangle last week. “We saw some progress, but we have to make the next step."

However, Rambis is not locked in. David Blatt and others have been linked with to the Knicks' coaching search.
