If you were caught up in the election frenzy Tuesday night, you may have missed a strange moment in the Kings-Pelicans game.
After the teams had a halftime rest, they had to go back and play the end of the second quarter again. Why? Because the game officials miscounted the team fouls for the Pelicans.
The mistake occurred when Solomon Hill fouled DeMarcus Cousins. The fould should have put the Kings in the bonus, sending Cousins to the foul line. Instead, it was missed and the officials caught the mistake at halftime.
"This is a first in my career," Kings assistant coach Bob Thornton said in a TV interview. "We had a situation where they could correct it, and now we're going to come back and replay it."

The officials told the players they had to replay the final 18.9 seconds of the game. The foul benefited the Kings as the initial halftime score was a 51-48 lead, and the score after the second attempt was 53-46.
The Kings held on to win the game 102-94, and sent the Pelicans to an 0-8 start, a franchise worst.
