After 12 seasons in the NBA, Patrick Beverley is headed back overseas.

Through the X (formerly Twitter) account of his eponymous podcast, Beverley announced Tuesday that he would be signing with Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv BC. Beverley, who began his professional career in Ukraine, Russia and Greece, returns to international basketball after spending the 2023-24 NBA season with the 76ers and Bucks.

Days before the official announcement, the Pat Bev Pod teased the decision with an X saying that Beverley "is currently weighing his options between a NBA Vet Minimum contract and a HISTORIC contract in Europe."

What team is Patrick Beverley on?

Beverley is signing with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC. 

The 36-year-old is set to compete with the Israeli club after spending the last 12 seasons with seven different NBA franchises. Beverley was selected with the 42nd overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft but did not make his NBA debut until January 2013.

The terms of Beverley's contract are unknown but the latest stop continues a wide-ranging basketball journey.

What is Hapoel Tel Aviv BC?

Hapoel Tel Aviv BC is a professional basketball club based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The club, which was founded in 1935, competes in the Israeli Premier League and in EuroCup Basketball. The Israeli Premier League, which features 12 teams, also includes Maccabi Tel Aviv and seven other Hapoel clubs.

In 2023-24, Hapoel Tel Aviv BC finished with an 18-6 record in Israeli Premier League play, good for second in the league. Hapoel Tel Aviv suffered a 2-1 series loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2024 Israeli Premier League Finals.
