Dwyane Wade’s return to Miami apparently got his old boss feeling sentimental.
After their unceremonious offseason breakup, Pat Riley said he emailed his former Heat superstar this week prior to Wade's return as a member of the Bulls on Thursday.

"I hope he got it,'' Riley said, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "You know those guys changing phone numbers and emails ..."
Wade told reporters before the game he received the email but hadn’t had time to read it.

Wade and Riley didn’t separate on the best of terms. Wade, the fifth overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft, left his adopted home to return to his hometown of Chicago after negotiations with Miami brass (read: Riley) broke down. Wade eventually signed a two-year, $41 deal with the Bulls.
"I’ve spoken through you guys (reporters),'' Wade said before the game. "He's heard me loud and clear. I’m very appreciate of Pat, of what we created here together. There's nothing to squash (as far as bad feelings)."
Said Riley: "After 13 years together, we don't need a talk or e-mail just to justify how we feel about each other."
