Is O.G. Anunoby playing tonight? Latest hamstring injury update on Knicks forward for Game 5 vs. Pacers image

The Eastern Conference semifinals returns to New York for a crucial Game 5.

The Knicks jumped out to a 2-0 series lead, but back-to-back wins for the Pacers in Indiana have tied the second-round series at 2-2. If losing two in a row wasn't enough, the injuries continue to pile up for the Knicks.

New York is already without Julius Randle, Bojan Bogdanovic and Mitchell Robinson, each of whom is likely out for the rest of the season. Additionally, Jalen Brunson and O.G. Anunoby are dealing with injuries.

Brunson's foot injury won't prevent him from playing in Game 5, but will Anunoby be cleared?

Here's the latest on Anunoby's status going into Game 5.

Is O.G. Anunoby playing tonight?

The Knicks have ruled Anunoby out for Game 5.

Anunoby is dealing with a left hamstring strain that he suffered in Game 2 of the second-round series. Game 5 will mark his third straight missed game.

Precious Achiuwa started in place of Anunoby in Games 3 and 4, posting 6.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in 22.9 minutes.

It's unclear how much time Anunoby will miss with his injury.

Anunoby is averaging 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals on 39.5 percent shooting from 3-point range in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. He was having his best game of the postseason before his injury, scoring 28 points in 28 minutes.
