Another 3-1 deficit, another triumphant series win.
The Nuggets controlled the second half of Tuesday night's Game 7 against the Clippers and cruised to a 104-89 victory, punching their ticket to the 2020 Western Conference finals. Denver became the first team to crawl out of a 3-1 hole twice in one postseason after previously eliminating the Jazz in the same fashion.
Nuggets stars Jamal Murray (40 points, 15-of-26 shooting) and Nikola Jokic (16 points, 22 rebounds, 13 assists) were the two best players on the floor in Game 7 by far, as they completely outplayed the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George (24 points, 10-of-38 shooting combined). Los Angeles shot just 37.8 percent from the field as a team and was outscored 50-33 in the second half.
“I just think Denver beat us all around. I’m in the place if giving Denver more credit,” Doc Rivers said.
