EAST LANSING, Mich. — A new court hearing has been set for Charlotte Hornets forward Jeffery Taylor, who is charged in Michigan with domestic assault and other crimes.

A hearing planned for Wednesday in East Lansing was adjourned. The next date is Nov. 12.

Taylor is charged with domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property, stemming from a Sept. 25 incident at an East Lansing hotel. He's accused of assaulting his girlfriend as well as a hotel employee.

Taylor has pleaded not guilty. He is banned from all team-related activities, and the Hornets are awaiting the outcome of an NBA investigation before deciding whether to reinstate him.

Taylor is from Norrkoping, Sweden, and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
