Chicago forward Nikola Mirotic will be out until after the NBA All-Star break after he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, according to the team. Doctors performed an emergency appendectomy on the big man Wednesday.

Chicago's first game after the All-Star break is Feb. 18 in Cleveland.
The Bulls already were without forwards Mike Dunleavy and Joakim Noah. Now they'll be without Mirotic, who has is averaging 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season.
