Sometimes, it can seem like things just won't go the right way. For the Thunder, that time is right now.

Head coach Scott Brooks announced Saturday that forward Nick Collison will miss "at least 10 days" with a sprained left ankle, according to InsideThunder.com's Randy Renner.

The news of Collison's injury came just a day after the Thunder announced that Kevin Durant would be shutting down basketball activities indefinitely. Brooks lamented the fact that the Thunder can't seem to catch a good break, despite the team's impressive 123-115 victory Friday over the East-leading Hawks.

"There's that saying, if you don't laugh, you're gonna cry, sometimes I feel like crying," Brooks said, per Renner.

One thing that certainly won't cause the Thunder to cry is the recent performance of their other All-Star, Russell Westbrook, who notched another triple-double in Friday's win. Westbrook has raised his game to MVP levels while the Thunder have struggled with injuries, keeping the team afloat in a competitive Western Conference playoff race.

At 39-30, Oklahoma City is holding on to the No. 8 seed in the West. With a win Friday and the Pelicans' loss to the Warriors, the Thunder's lead over New Orleans for the final playoff spot increased to two games.
