Here's a run-down from the days leading up to the NBA's Feb. 18 trade deadline:
Hornets snag Courtney Lee in three-team deal with Grizzlies, Heat
The Hornets needed a replacement for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and found a serviceable piece in former Grizzlies guard Courtney Lee.

Charlotte shipped P.J. Hairston to Memphis and Brian Roberts to Miami, which packaged Chris “Birdman” Anderson and two second-round picks and sent them to Memphis.
Lee, who is in the final year of his contract, is averaging 10.0 points in 29.2 minutes per game this season in Memphis. Nic Batum, who has battled injury himself this season, will likely slide into a small forward role for the Hornets allowing Lee to take over at shooting guard.
Pistons import Tobias Harris from Orlando for stretch run
Just one game behind Charlotte for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Pistons made a move to add a young scorer in Tobias Harris from the Magic.
Detroit sent power forward Ersan Ilyasova and backup point guard Brandon Jennings in exchange for the 23-year-old Harris, who averaging 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
Heat dump Jarnell Stokes, cash on Pelicans for second-round pick
In a move to help move below the luxury tax line, Miami cut a deal with the Pelicans to ship forward Jarnell Stokes and $700,000 to New Orleans in exchange for a protected second-round pick.
Stokes, a second-year power forward from Tennessee, has played in just seven games this season between the Grizzlies and Heat.
Jazz give up on Ty Lawson, deal for Hawks’ Shelvin Mack
When talks between the Jazz and Rockets concerning Houston point guard Ty Lawson fizzled out, Utah hustled on Thursday to land Hawks guard Shelvin Mack for a second-round pick.
In 24 games backing up Jeff Teague, Mack average 3.9 points in 7.5 minutes per game this season and should hold down the fort well enough for Utah until Dante Exum return to the team next season.
Pistons make another move, add Donatas Motiejunas, Marcus Thornton
A day after adding Tobias Harris, the Pistons made another playoff-minded move moving Joel Anthony and a first-round pick to Houston for Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton.
The Pistons must expect Motiejunas, who has battled injury this season and played in just 14 games, to stay healthy the rest of the season considering he’s a free agent at the end of the year.
Thirteen, on the other hand, has performed well in a reserve role this season, averaging 10.0 points in 18.8 minutes per game.
For Houston, landing a possible lottery pick was the biggest get for them.
Thunder add Randy Foye, unload money on Denver
Oklahoma City need to cut cash and add a wing before the deadline and managed to check both off the list by trading D.J. Augustin, Steve Novak and two second-round picks to Denver for Randy Foye.
Foye is averaging 6.0 points per game off the bench for Denver and will add depth and veteran influence on the Thunder bench.
From the Nuggets perspective, taking on the remainder of Novak’s salary is worth a pair of second-round picks.
Cavaliers add Channing Frye in three-team deal with Portland, Orlando
Cleveland is out Anderson Varejao, Jared Cunningham and a first-round pick, but now they have another difference maker off the bench in veteran forward Channing Frye.
Frye, at age 32, won’t be on the floor too much with Kevin Love starting and Timofey Mozgov and Tristan Thompson both on the roster, but he can still space the floor as a 39.7 percent shooter from 3-point range.
The Magic got Cunningham and and a second-round pick from Portland, which received Varejao (who is expected to be released) and a 2018 first-round pick from Cleveland.
Wizards acquire Markieff Morris from Phoenix
Markieff Morris has been unhappy with the suns ever since they traded his twin brother, Marcus, last offseason. Now the 26-year-old power forward has a new chance to contribute in Washington, which sent Kris Humphries, Dejuan Blair and a first-round pick to Phoenix for Morris.
Morris started all 82 games for Phoenix in 2014-15 (averaged 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds), but has regressed a touch this season averaging11.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
If Morris can find his form from season’s past, he’ll be a nice catch for a Wizards team clawing to get back into the playoffs.
Clippers swap Lance Stephenson for Grizzlies’ Jeff Green
Lance Stephenson has been a virtual non-factor for Los Angeles all season, and if the Clippers want to challenge the Warriors in the Western Conference at all, a change had to made. Enter Jeff Green.
Green is averaging 12.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game this season in Memphis compared to Stephenson’s 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Green, 29, should be able to step in and carry the burden at small forward the way Stephenson was supposed to do for aging veteran Paul Pierce. And it only cost the Clippers a headache in Stephenson and a first-round pick.
Hawks trade pick to Bulls for Kirk Hinrich
The Hawks traded Mack earlier in the day, but turned around and nabbed his replacement by sending a second-round pick to the Bulls for point guard Kirk Hinrich.
Hinrich, at age 35, is averaging the lowest minutes total of his career at just 15.9 minutes per game and is averaging only 3.8 points, but the Hawks really don’t need much more than that from Jeff Teague's backup.
