Stephen Curry again shows he's in complete control of the game image

Hold the phone. It ain't over until the fat lady sings. Use whichever phrase you want to explain Stephen Curry's latest exploits, but one thing is for certain: The man can shoot the rock.

After trailing most of Saturday's game against Oklahoma City, Curry led Golden State to memorable 121-118 overtime victory, capped by a 32-foot, pull-up 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left on the clock.

The game, in itself, was phenomenal as two of the best teams in the Western Conference gave it everything they had. But let's first talk about what Curry did. Having already broken his own record for 3-pointers in a season (286) in overtime, Curry wasn't finished.

His game-wining shot gave him 12 3-pointers for the game, which tied Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall for most in an NBA game. He also became the first player in NBA history to record back-to-back 10-plus 3-point games. Curry finished the game with 46 points, which was his third consecutive 40-point effort.

On top of it all, Curry left the game in the second half to get his ankle evaluated in the locker room. The play looked bad and it appeared Curry might miss the rest of the game. In true Curry fashion, he returned, much to Thunder fans' demise.

The night started out pretty rocky for Golden State, though. The Thunder took it to them in the first half, leading Draymond Green to go on a reported expletive-laced rant in the locker room. Green, who was stuck guarding Kevin Durant most of the game, finished with just two points on 0-for-8 shooting. He did, however, have a double-double, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out 14 assists.

The Warriors started chipping away in the second half and finally pulled the final punch after Durant fouled out in overtime.

Durant led the way for Oklahoma City with 37 points and 12 rebounds. Russell Westbrook scored 26 points with 13 assists and Serge Ibaka stepped up with 15 points and 20 rebounds.

"I was proud of our guys, proud of the way we played," Thunder coach Billy Donovan said on ESPN. "We really defended well in the first half. We let Curry get loose a few too many times, but I thought we still defended well in the second half. I think there were a lot of positives to take out of this game."

The heartbreaking loss moves Oklahoma City to 41-18. Golden State is now 53-5.

Trail Blazers get back to winning ways against Bulls:

Entering Saturday night's contest against Chicago with 11 wins in their last 13 games, the Trail Blazers bounced back from a tough loss against the Rockets to smother the Bulls 103-95 on the road.

All-Star snub Damian Lillard led Portland with 31 points and Mason Plumlee scored 16 points with nine rebounds. Even though C. J. McCollum struggled — he scored just six points on 1-of-12 shooting — the Trail Blazers did enough to beat the banged up Bulls.

Chicago was led by Pau Gasol, who recorded his first triple-double of the season, scoring 22 points with 16 rebounds and 14 assists.

Stud of the night:

Timberwolves center Karl Anthony-Towns continued his sensational rookie season by scoring 30 points on 13-of-20 shooting while grabbing 15 rebounds in a 112-110 win over the Pelicans. The double-double was his 33rd of the season.

Dud of the night:

Clippers power forward Josh Smith earned the start Saturday against the Spurs, but did not take advantage of the opportunity. The much-traveled former star finished with two points on 1-of-8 shooting in a 104-94 loss.

What's Next:

Cavaliers (41-16) at Wizards (27-30) 1 p.m. ET — The Cavaliers need to rebound from Friday night's tough loss in Toronto against a Washington team hungry to make the postseason. John Wall and Bradley Beal will be ready to prove they have star potential.

Raptors (39-18) at Pistons (30-29) 6 p.m. ET — Fresh off its big win against the Cavs, Toronto has to avoid a hangover game against a refreshed Pistons team. Led by Andre Drummond and recently acquired Tobias Harris, Detroit is not a team you want to play on the road.
