NBA playoffs wrap 2019: Bucks eliminate Celtics; Warriors go up 3-2 image

The Celtics ended their season pretty much how they started it — without much of a fight.

Boston fell to Milwaukee 116-91 to lose its Eastern Conference semifinal series in five games.

The Bucks won the final four games of the series by an average of 16.3 points, and in all honesty, the games weren't even that close.

Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn't his usual spectacular self in Game 5, but he delivered a steady and balanced performance in the win, tallying 20 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in the victory.

Milwaukee is now 8-1 in the postseason with its only loss coming to Boston in Game 1 of this series.

As for the Celtics, they've dealt with disappointment all year long. They started the season 2-2 and went 10-10 through their first 20 games.

Milwaukee now moves on to the Eastern Conference finals, where it will face the winner of the Raptors-76ers series, which moves on to Game 6 on Thursday.

At Oracle Arena in California, the Warriors defeated the Rockets 104-99 in a back-and-forth game featuring a significant injury and some more Draymond Green antics.

As for the injury, Kevin Durant left in the fourth quarter with a right calf strain and did not return. It is unclear what his status will be for Game 6.

As for Green's antics, he was called for a technical foul for kneeing Chris Paul after drawing an offensive foul. He would later foul out of the game after playing very well, especially in the early going.

Game 6 is set to be played in Houston on Friday at 9 p.m. ET.

Stud of the Night

Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe had 18 points, six rebounds and two assists in the win.

James Harden had 31 points, eight assists and four steals in the Rockets' loss.

Dud of the Night

Kyrie Irving led the Celtics with 15 points but his shooting woes continued as he went 6 of 21 from the floor and 1 of 7 from 3-point range.

Austin Rivers didn't give the Rockets a lot of help off the bench going 1-of-6 shooting and 0 for 4 from 3-point range.

Highlight

Antetokounmpo wasn't just good on the offensive end, but he was a terror around the rim on defense, as well.

What's Next

Nuggets at Trail Blazers, 10:30 p.m. ET — In a series where every game but the last one has been good, the Trail Blazers once again have a chance to play on their home court. Portland is fantastic at home and has a chance to extend the series to seven games with a victory there.
