Welcome to the NBA playoffs, where each team feels like the officials are out to get it. In the case of the Miami Heat, however, they might have proof they are being slighted by officials.
The Heat's biggest foes in the first-round playoff series are Charlotte guards Jeremy Lin (6.3 FTs per game) and Kemba Walker (5.5), who lead players in this series in free-throw attempts per game.

Is it the officials' fault or just a testiness between Eastern Conference foes? The Heat organization thinks it's both.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, tension escalated between the two teams in part because the Heat complained to "the highest levels of the league office" about what they perceived to be one-sided officiating in favor of Lin and Walker.
Miami was also upset Wednesday after officials declined to blow the whistle when the Hornets' Cody Zeller appeared to foul Wade with 4.5 seconds remaining in Game 5, with the teams separated by just two points.

There's also the strange story about a fan-made video that gave ample examples of when Hornets guard Jeremy Lin was hit hard and no foul (or no flagrant foul) was called. The video has tallied more than 1.5 million views and prompted action from fans, a story by The New York Times and the NBA office.
Regardless of the calls made, one of the two teams can alleviate its frustrations with a Game 7 victory.
