This is a game Stephen Curry will soon want to forget.

The two-time MVP scored 17 points on 7-of-23 shooting in Golden State's 126-121 loss to the Rockets, but that only tells part of the story.

Curry was awful down the stretch going 0 for 6 from the floor in the fourth quarter and overtime while tallying four fouls and a turnover.

What's worse though, in a time while Kevin Durant was fantastic — he scored 46 points on the night including a stretch to start the fourth quarter in which he erased a four-point deficit on his own with 10 straight points — Curry was minus-6 in the final 17 minutes of the game.

This just wasn't Curry's night and this could be made no clearer than with his final shot attempt.

Curry isn't known for dunking, everyone knows that. But he may now be known for this dunk — or more accurately — this brick to end the game for the Warriors.

The 31-year-old got a breakaway opportunity with the Warriors down 126-121 with less than 20 seconds to play and he got cocky and went for the dunk.

He should have stuck to what he knows.

Curry's dunk attempt never even got above the rim.

The play was so bad the Warriors decided to not even foul when down five with about 17 seconds left. They just let the clock run out and now lead the series 2-1.

"He just had a tough night," coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game. "I mean everybody, no matter how good you are, you're going to have some bad games and it was just a tough night for him."

Curry's night was bad, but the Warriors' night wasn't much better. They get a chance to redeem themselves in Game 4 on Monday.
